Questions & Answers

Q:  Once I submit my application, how long does the process take?

A:  You will receive your transcript in approximately four weeks.  However, errors on the application will delay the process.

Q:  Is there any way to expedite the process?

A:  No.  All applications are processed on a first come first serve basis.

Q:  Can I have an official transcript sent to me?

A:  Sure.  Simply fill in your name and address in the space provided on the second page of the application.

Q:  Can the application be submitted over the phone?

A:  No. The application must be submitted via mail or fax because your signature is required to release your transcript.

Q:  Can I pay for the credits with a relative's credit card?

A:  Yes, as long as he or she signs the application and provides the credit card billing address.

Q:  What should I do if one of my courses is not on the list?

A:  If the course is not on the application, it's not available for credit.  Please look on the "Not Eligible" and  "Under Review" lists  under FAQ to the left.

Q:  How many credits will I get for each course?

A:  FCC offers 1 semester hour for each course on the application unless otherwise noted.  Please do not compare college credits to the CEUs (Continuing Education Units) referenced on your Independent Study course completion certificates.

Q:  Can I get more than one college credit if I complete all of the different versions of the IS-100 and IS-200 courses?

A:  No. The credit can only be obtained once. (i.e. IS-100HC can be combined with IS-200HC for one credit hour but you cannot also combine IS-100PW with IS-200 for an additional credit hour. The credit can only be obtained one time.)
